Job Description
Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics – Hamilton College
The Economics Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a one-year visiting position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2026.
The Role & Responsibilities: We seek candidates who will be strong teachers capable of adding to our curriculum.

Teaching Load: The teaching load for this position is five (5) courses per year.

Student Engagement: Candidates must demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with broadly diverse student populations. You will be expected to contribute to a vibrant learning community that values academic freedom, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.
Candidate Qualifications:

Candidates with ABD (All But Dissertation) will be considered.

Candidates with a Ph.D. are preferred.
